DESCRIPTION:Dr. Rebecca Erbelding will deliver a lecture\, “The War Refugee Board and America’s Efforts to Save the Jews of Europe\,” on Tuesday\, Oct. 9\, at 7:30 p.m. at Rutgers University’s Douglass Student Center\, New Brunswick.  \nErbelding\, a historian\, curator\, and archivist at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum\, uncovered new archival materials that tell the story of the War Refugee Board\, established by President Franklin D. Roosevelt late in the war.  \nFree and open to the public\, the talk is sponsored by Rutgers’ Allen and Joan Bildner Center for the Study of Jewish Life. Participants will be eligible to participate in a free trip to the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum later this year.
