DESCRIPTION:Highland Park Conservative Temple-Congregation Anshe Emeth will continue its 17th annual Jewish film series on Saturday\, Dec. 15\, at 8 p.m. with a screening of “The Midnight Orchestra.” \nWall Street whiz kid Michael Botbol returns to Casablanca to reconcile with his legendary band leader father. But soon after they meet\, tragedy strikes. Now Michael must fulfill his father’s dying wish — to reunite the band for one last\, transcendent gig. \nThe screening will be followed with remarks via Skype by Vanessa Paloma Elbaz\, a researcher\, writer\, and performer whose work focus on Sephardic women\, music\, popular culture\, identity\, and language. \nThe film (in Arabic and French with English subtitles) and talk are open to the public at no charge (an $8 donation is suggested). \nContact Udi Shorr at 732-819-9850. \n
