DESCRIPTION:The Jewish community at the Seabrook retirement community in Tinton Falls begins “Israel’s Milestones and Their Meanings: The Legacy of the Past and the Challenge of the Future.” Seabrook pastoral associate Abby Cahn Anton will present the free series at 7 p.m. on Wednesday evenings through Oct. 31 (except for Sept. 19) at Seabrook’s Town Square Atrium. \nThe video lecture series from the Shalom Hartman Institute explores the events of 1947 and 1967 as pivotal moments in the Zionist endeavor. Pluralistic discussions will center on issues of Jewish identity\, peoplehood\, ethics\, and theology\, as they relate to nationhood\, land sovereignty\, Jerusalem\, occupation\, and morality.
