DESCRIPTION:Mary Morris\, author of “Gateway to the Moon\,” will speak as part of a Meet the Author series at Congregation Torat El\, Oakhurst\, at 11 a.m. A light brunch will be served. \nMorris’ novel centers on a descendant of Jews from 15th-century Spain\, Miguel Torres\, living in 20th-century New Mexico\, who discovers his roots.  \nA professor of creative writing\, Morris received the Rome Prize for Literature and the Anisfield-Wolf Award for Fiction.
