‘Let’s Dish’
February 18, 2019 - June 13, 2019
Jewish Heritage Museum of Monmouth County has opened a new rotating exhibit, “Let’s Dish: Family Histories through Dinnerware,” that will run through Thursday, June 13.
The exhibit features eight sets of dinnerware and a set of silver Kiddush cups used over four generations. In addition, recipes are displayed that may well have been served on these dishes. The objects on display feature the histories of the dinnerware’s owners as well as their photographs, and are on loan from board members, a docent, and a member of the Jewish Journaling class that is offered at the museum on Tuesday mornings. Contents of the exhibit, made possible in part by the Monmouth County Historical Commission through funding from the New Jersey Historical Commission of the Monmouth County Board of Chosen Freeholders, may be changed periodically.
Museum admission is $5, $3 members. RSVP to 732-252-6990 or visit jhmomc.org.
