DESCRIPTION:Congregation B’nai Israel\, Rumson\, is celebrating Jewish Pulitzer Prize novelists — Philip Roth\, Norman Mailer\, Bernard Malamud\, and Saul Bellow — in a series of free Sunday seminars.  \nKicking off the series on Oct. 21 will be Prof. Andrew Meyer on Malamud at 11:15 a.m.  \nOn Nov. 11\, Jack Needle\, a retired Brookdale Community College history professor\, will discuss the life and works of Roth. Rabbi Dov Goldberg will give a Friday night Nov. 30 sermon on Roth’s short novel “Nemesis\,” chosen as a Congregation Read. \nNeedle will discuss the life and works of Bellow on Jan. 27; the series will conclude when Gail Becker presents “Personal Reflections on Norman Mailer” on Feb. 3.
