DESCRIPTION:Susie Fishbein\, author of the international best-selling cookbook series “Kosher By Design” and a Livingston resident\, will teach a week’s worth of kosher cooking classes\, beginning on Sunday\, Sept. 8\, at The Kitchen at Bed Bath & Beyond in East Hanover. The new interactive cooking and activity learning space will be kashered prior to the start of the classes\, which will be geared to chefs of all skill levels. \nFishbein launched her cookbook career by co-editing\, in 2000\, “The Kosher Palette: Easy and Elegant Modern Kosher Cooking\,” produced as a fund-raising tool for Joseph Kushner Hebrew Academy/Rae Kushner Yeshiva High School in Livingston. \nFishbein was named one of the 50 Most Influential Jews by The Forward in 2008 and was a guest at the White House in 2010 in recognition of National Jewish Heritage Month. \nHer classes will feature such themes as “Feast from the Middle East” (Yemenite Beef Soup and Roasted Eggplant with Silan Techina) and “Shabbat Specialties for Grandparents and Grandkids” (Cauliflower Popcorn and Hot Pretzel Challah). \nTo register\, visit thekitchen.bedbathandbeyond.com or contact 973-434-2700. \n
