SUMMARY:Fifty years of “HAIR”
DESCRIPTION:“HAIR” in Concert — A Collaboration with Remember Jones will be presented at the Axelrod Performing Arts Center\, Deal Park\, in celebration of the Broadway musical’s 50th anniversary. The concert will feature Jones\, a soul/pop vocalist from Asbury Park directing and starring as Claude alongside Tony Award nominees Constantine Maroulis as Berger and Mary Bridget Davies as Sheila.  \nThe event will also feature a showcase from The Hair Archives\, a nonprofit recording the history of the musical and participation from alumni of the original Broadway show.  \n“HAIR” in Concert will be performed Wednesday-Thursday\, Aug. 15-16\, at 8 p.m.; Saturday\, Aug. 18\, at 10 p.m.; and Sunday\, Aug. 19\, at 3 p.m. Tickets\, $37-$45\, with group rates and senior discounts available\, can be purchased at axelrodartscenter.com or by calling 732-531-9106\, ext. 4. \n
