Congregation Shomrei Emunah, Montclair. Prof. Gary Rendsburg, Rutgers University’s Blanche and Irving Laurie Chair in Jewish History, focuses on major archaeological sites in Israel, Egypt, and Jordan, including Qumran and the Dead Sea Scrolls, at 6:30 Friday night services; on Saturday he will speak during 8:30 a.m. Torah study, 9:30 a.m. services, and at a noon luncheon.
