Evelyn Yeskel

Evelyn Irene Yeskel, 91, of Jupiter, Fla., died July 31, 2014. She was born in Newark and moved to Florida 15 years ago.

While living in New Jersey, Mrs. Yeskel spent her time volunteering at Daughters of Israel in West Orange. In Jupiter, she was a member of Temple Beth Am and recently supported the building of the new JCC in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., where she enjoyed playing bridge.

Predeceased by her husband, Stanley, whom she married in 1941, and a granddaughter, Jodi Yeskel, on July 18, she is survived by two sons, Barry (Jill) of West Orange and Peter of Ocean Ridge, Fla.; her daughter, Beth (John) Greene of Wilmington, Vt.; a sister, Marion Landew of Westfield; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services were held Aug. 3 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union; a celebration of her life will be held later this month. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Palm Beach County Foundation, 5300 East Ave., West Palm Beach, FL 33407.
