Evelyn Weissman

Evelyn Weissman, 93, of Tinton Falls died Oct. 8, 2011. She was raised in the Bronx and moved to Fair Lawn in 1951 and then Brick in 1972. She also lived in Boynton Beach, Fla., before moving to Tinton Falls nine years ago.

Mrs. Weissman worked as a bookkeeper after her schooling. In 1962 she and her husband created Duffy Electronics, where she worked for 25 years. In 1972 they moved the business to Belmar.

She was active in the Fair Lawn Jewish Center, serving as sisterhood president, and was a life member of Hadassah.

She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Abraham; two daughters, Rhoda Solomon and Myrna Rosen; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Services were held Oct. 10 with arrangements by Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, Ocean.
