Evelyn Marcus Goldstein
Evelyn Marcus Goldstein, 96, of Cranbury died Nov. 23, 2010. Born in New Brunswick, she resided in Highland Park for many years and also had lived in Monroe.
Mrs. Goldstein was a permanent substitute teacher in the Edison, Piscataway, and Highland Park school systems for many years.
She was a graduate of Parsons The New School of Design in New York City.
She had been an active member of the Anshe Emeth Memorial Temple in New Brunswick, Brandeis Women, Hadassah, and the Jewish Historical Society of Central Jersey. She also enjoyed horseback riding.
Predeceased by her husband, Aaron, in 1976, she is survived by two daughters, Sandra Marshall of New Hope, Pa., and Deena Kraft of Oregon City, Ore.; two sisters, Adelaide Zagoren and Ruth Patt, both of Monroe; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Services were held Nov. 26 at Anshe Emeth Memorial Temple with arrangements by Crabiel Parkwest Funeral Chapel, New Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to Anshe Emeth or the Fox-Chase Cancer Center, Philadelphia.
