Eve Melrod Warhoftig
Eve Melrod Warhoftig, 86, of Monroe Township died Jan. 16, 2011. Born and raised in Newark, she lived in Springfield for 31 years before moving to Monroe over 30 years ago. She also had a second home in West Palm Beach, Fla.
Together with her husband, Albert, Mrs. Warhoftig owned and operated Eval Homes, Inc., in Springfield, building luxury custom homes for many years.
She was an active participant and life member of Hadassah and Women’s American ORT in both New Jersey and Florida, and the Jewish Congregation of Clearbrook.
Predeceased by her husband of 53 years in 1997, she is survived by her daughter, Gail Lustbader of East Brunswick; her son, Robert of Monroe; two grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
Services were held Jan. 18 with arrangements by Mount Sinai Memorial Chapels, East Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to Hadassah or the American Cancer Society, North Brunswick.
