Eugene Kleinwaks
Eugene Kleinwaks, 91, of Boca Raton, Fla., died May 14, 2015. He was born in Newark and also lived in Bethlehem, Pa., before moving to Livingston to raise his family.
An engineer by profession, he ran a variety of businesses in Bethlehem, including Penguin Ice Cream Company. In Livingston he was the owner of Kleinwaks and Company, a real estate brokerage, building and development, and management firm.
He graduated from Newark’s Weequahic High School, where he played football. He was a Tau Beta Pi graduate of Lehigh University.
He served in the U.S. Navy as a pilot. He was a member of Temple Beth Shalom in Livingston.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Rosalind (Teitelbaum); his daughter, Lorrie Hertzberg; two sons, Jeffrey (Diana) and Randy (Tracey); a sister, Eleanor Parker; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services were held May 17 with arrangements by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston.
