Etta Setzer

Etta Fox Setzer, 97, of Somerset died Nov. 1, 2013. Born in Opoczno, Poland, she immigrated to the United States as a young woman. She resided in Parsippany for 35 years before moving to Somerset six years ago.

Mrs. Setzer and her late husband, Ben, owned and operated a furniture store in Paterson until retiring in 1981.

While residing in Parsippany, she was an active member of the Hiawatha Seniors Club, Friendship Club, and the Baldwin Oaks Social Club, where she served as Sunshine Committee chairperson.

Predeceased by her husband, Benjamin, her son, Simon, and her grandson, Jeffrey Besen, she is survived by two daughters, Rhonda “Ronnie” Pepin of East Brunswick and Marjorie (Douglas) Besen of Cumming, Ga.; a brother, Louis Fox of Delray Beach, Fla.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
