Ernest Walensky, 80, of Oradell died Dec. 16, 2012. He was born in Newark and grew up in Montclair.
In 2008, Mr. Walensky retired from Wachovia Securities, now Wells Fargo Securities, after a long career as a stockbroker and certified financial planner with several firms.
He earned a bachelor of science and a master of business administration from New York University.
He served in the U.S. Navy from 1951 to 1955 during the Korean War, and was a member of the American Legion Post 41 in Oradell.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; his daughter, Michelle (Steve); and a granddaughter.
Services were held Dec. 18 with arrangements by Gutterman and Musicant Funeral Directors, Hackensack.
