Elise M. Linden, 55, a lifelong West Caldwell resident, died March 4, 2016. 

Ms. Linden was a licensed clinical social worker and a licensed therapeutic massage therapist. 

She attended James Caldwell High School in West Caldwell. She graduated from Marist College and received a graduate degree from Fordham University.

She was an animal rescue volunteer and member of the New Jersey Drug Policy Alliance. 

She was involved in Chabad of West Orange. 

Predeceased by her father, Paul Linden, and her stepfather, Arnold Citrin, she is survived by her mother, Rosalind Citrin; a sister, Rene Paparian; two nephews, Jack and Dean Paparian; and Mr. Citrin’s family, Marc (Luanne) and Ethan and Hunter. 

A celebration of her life was held March 13 in West Orange. Memorial contributions may be made to S.T.A.R.T. II (Save the Animals Rescue Team II) of Bergen County, P.O. Box 177, Elmwood Park, NJ 07407; or Chabad of West Orange.
