Eleanor Kaszerman

Eleanor Kaszerman (Zimring), 83, of West Orange died Feb. 22, 2011. Born in New York City, she resided in West Orange most of her life.

Mrs. Kaszerman was a social worker at United Hospital, East Orange, for 15 years and later was a sales associate at Bloomingdale’s, Short Hills, before retiring.

She received a bachelor’s degree from Brooklyn College.

She was a supporter of PBS and was a member of Hadassah and the Southern Poverty Law Center.

Predeceased by a son, Kenneth, she is survived by a daughter, Monica Herz of Livingston; a son, Jeffrey of West Orange; and two granddaughters.

Services were held Feb. 27 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union.
