Elaine Cook
Elaine Cook (Nadler), 85, of Millburn died Nov. 7, 2018. Born in Newark, she lived in Millburn since 1963.
Certified as a nurse, Mrs. Cook was an EMT for the Millburn/Short Hills Volunteer First Aid Squad for 10 years.
She earned her nursing degree at Beth Israel in Newark.
She was a life member of Hadassah, a docent for the Jewish Museum in New York City, and a member of the first group of EMTs in New Jersey.
Predeceased by a grandchild, she is survived by her husband of 63 years, Jerome; three daughters, Andrea Cook of Springfield, Elizabeth Cook of Milford, Conn., and Elana Cook Korn of Flemington; her son, Matthew Cook of Honolulu; two sisters, Clarice Shapiro of Camarillo, Calif., and Bette Lubin of Israel; and 10 grandchildren.
Services were held Nov. 11 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union. Memorial contributions may be made to Hillside/Union Hadassah or Overlook Foundation.
