Edwin Kalmore

Edwin Louis Kalmore of Monroe Township died Jan. 28, 2018. Born in Brooklyn, he resided in Livingston for 32 years before moving to Monroe in 1998.

Mr. Kalmore became a Certified Public Accountant licensed to practice in the state of New York. Prior to his retirement, he was a partner with the accounting firm of Wolf and Schulman, formerly of New York City. He was a member of both the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

He received a bachelor of science in accounting from New York University School of Commerce in 1949. 

A veteran who served in the United States Army during World War II, he was honorably discharged with the rank of sergeant following service in Japan. 

He was a longtime member of Temple Beth Shalom in Livingston and served on its board of trustees. He was also a member of the Masons of the State of New York, Amos-Fort Greene Lodge.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Sheila; two daughters, Debra (Alan) of Livingston and Tracy (Pat) of Woodcliff Lake; and five grandchildren.

Services were held Jan. 29 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union. Memorial contributions may be made to Jewish Educational Center, Elizabeth; attention: Edwin L. Kalmore Fund for Excellence in General Studies.
