Edward J. Stern
Edward J. Stern, 84, of Edison died July 23, 2015. Born in Newark, he lived in Edison for 53 years.
Mr. Stern worked for the U.S. government in military installations in New Jersey and Europe as an industrial and avionics engineer.
He received his engineering degree from Columbia University in 1957.
He enjoyed flying, holding a commercial pilot’s license. He was also a professional photographer and videographer.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Toni (Chanko); two daughters, Karen Stern (Stephen) Norrell of Haworth and Jill Stern (Richard) Lindberg of New York City and Voorhees; and four grandchildren.
A memorial service was held July 28 with arrangements by Flynn and Son/Koyen Funeral Home, Metuchen. Memorial contributions may be made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
