Edward S. Gold, 94, of Manahawkin died Feb. 27, 2014. Born in Paterson, he lived in Fort Lee, Irvington, South Orange, and West Orange before moving to Manahawkin in 2014.
Mr. Gold was an owner/operator in a partnership that owned various ShopRite supermarkets before retiring in 1982. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Marines.
He is survived by his wife, Bernice (Warshawsky); three sons, Barry (Bonnie) of Livingston, Steven (Elaine) of Atlanta, and Kenneth (Gail) of Manahawkin; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services were held March 2 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union.
