Edith Bernstein

Edith Bernstein (Bovit), 90, a lifelong resident of Summit, died March 1, 2014. 

Before her retirement in 1991, Mrs. Bernstein was employed as bookkeeper/accountant for Top Tex, Inc. a trader of dyes and pigments in Summit. 

She earned a BS degree in business administration from Ohio State University, Columbus, in 1944. 

She was a member of Summit JCC (Congregation Ohr Shalom) and was active in Hadassah.

Predeceased by her husband, George, and her daughter, Susan, she is survived by her son, David of Lorton, Va.; a brother, Barry Bovit of Boynton Beach, Fla.; a sister, Rea Jablons of Trenton; and three grandchildren.

Services were held March 4 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union.
