Ed Denburg

Edmund J. Denburg, 87, of Fairfield died Aug. 7, 2018. He was born in Newark.

Mr. Denburg joined his family’s printing and lithography company, Barton Press, founded in 1922. He helped grow the company and represented the printing industry on several boards as well as serving as the president of the MLA and YPEC.

He graduated from Columbia High School in Maplewood and from Carnegie Tech with a degree in print management.

He served as a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy.

He was a lifelong member of Temple B’nai Abraham and Green Brook Country Club, and was active in the community.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Phyllis (Weinstein); three daughters, Lisa Harris, Jill Denburg, and Hallie (David) Satz; his son, Jim (Lisa) Denburg; a sister, Ann Denburg Cummis; and five grandchildren.

Services were held Aug. 8 with arrangements by J. L. Apter Memorial Chapels of Cedar Grove.
