Dorothy Weiss
Dorothy Weiss (Berkowitz), 92, of North Brunswick died Sept. 8, 2018. Born in Queens, she lived for many years in Highland Park before moving to North Brunswick 39 years ago.
Mrs. Weiss and her husband Herbert ran Dunhill Furniture with locations in Edison and Piscataway.
For many years, she devoted her time to various charitable organizations, most notably Deborah Hospital, for which she was an active fund raiser.
Predeceased by her husband in 1979 and her son, Neil, in 2005, she is survived by two daughters, Gail (Weiss) Bergstein of North Brunswick and Cindy Weiss Drankoski of Somers, N.Y.; four grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
Services were held Sept. 12 with arrangements by Crabiel Parkwest Funeral Chapel, New Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to Deborah Hospital Foundation in Browns Mills or SPCA of Westchester, 590 North State Road, Briarcliff Manor, N.Y.
