Dorothy Weinberg

Dorothy Friedman Weinberg, 93, of Springfield died April 9, 2011. Born and raised in Newark, she lived for many years in Maplewood.

Mrs. Weinberg co-owned Trans Travel, Inc., and the Tour and Cruise Connection, a travel agency in Springfield and Short Hills, along with her husband, Selig, and son Arthur.

An ardent supporter of the State of Israel, she was active in Dorot Zion, Hadassah, and Pioneer Women. She volunteered for the Kidney Foundation for many years.

Predeceased by her husband in 1975, she is survived by two sons, Arthur of Morris Township and Joseph of Germantown, Tenn.; four grandchildren; and three great-granddaughters.

Services were held April 12 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Gaucher Foundation, Tucker, Ga.
