Dorothy Schram, 96, of West Orange died Nov. 10, 2013. Born in New York City, she grew up in Passaic and raised her family in Paterson.
Mrs. Schram and her late husband, Joseph, owned and operated The Park Carroll Luncheonette in Paterson. She also worked as an operator for Bell Telephone.
She was an active member of Temple Emanuel in Paterson and the YMHA and performed as a dancer with “The Top Hatters.”
Predeceased by her husband of 58 years and her daughter, Judith, she is survived by her son, Sheldon (Eileen); her daughter, Cynthia (Howard) Schwartz; two grandchildren; and three great-grandsons.
Services were held Nov. 11 with arrangements by Louis Suburban Chapel, Fair Lawn. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Liver Foundation, 39 Broadway, Suite 2700, New York, NY 10006.
