Donald King

Dr. Donald R. King, 85, of Dayton died Feb. 21, 2019. Born in Haddonfield, he resided in East Brunswick before moving to Dayton 16 years ago.

Dr. King was a professor at Rutgers University for 35 years before retiring almost 20 years ago.

He received all four of his degrees from Rutgers: bachelor’s and master’s in mathematics and master’s and a Ph.D. in library science.

A prolific writer, he enjoyed reading, Sudoku, traveling, and teaching English as a Second Language.

He is survived by his wife, Elisabeth (Schwartz); his son, Henry (Tracie) of Stockton; his daughter, Susan King (Barbara Hall) of Philadelphia; and five grandchildren.

Services were held Feb. 24 with arrangements by Crabiel Parkwest Funeral Chapel, New Brunswick.
