Donald A. Ellenberg, 93, of Springfield died June 30, 2015. Born in the Bronx, he lived in Newark, Elizabeth, and Cranford before moving to Springfield 22 years ago.
Mr. Ellenberg was a commercial real estate broker and manager with Michael I. Schaffer Co., New York City, for 45 years, retiring 16 years ago.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was a member of the Free and Accepted Masons. He was an avid golfer and bowler and also wrote theater reviews.
Predeceased by his first wife, Eve (Friedman), he is survived by his wife, Dorothy Levy (Mussman); his daughter, Laurie Bloomfield of New York City; his son, Todd Ellenberg of Miami; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services were held July 2 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union. Memorial contributions may be made to Atlantic Hospice or Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest NJ.
