Dina Schwartz Miller, 73, of Woodland Park died April 15, 2017. Born in Havana, Cuba, she immigrated to the United States in 1961 at age 17. She also lived in Edison and had a residence in Miami Beach.
Mrs. Miller worked for a short period as a Spanish teacher, but later pursued a career in banking, rising through the ranks in employee benefits administration.
She graduated from Columbia University’s School of General Studies with honors followed by a master’s degree in Spanish literature at Columbia’s Teachers College.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Michael; her daughter, Carolyn; her son, Daniel (Mindy); and two grandchildren.
Services were held April 19 with arrangements by Jewish Memorial Chapel, Clifton.
