Diane Denburg
Diane Denburg (Newmark), 88, a longtime South Orange resident, died April 13, 2018. She was born and raised in Newark.
Mrs. Denburg was a graduate of Weequahic High School, Newark, where she served as yearbook editor.
For many years she served as president of the Fight For Sight League of Northern NJ. She also served alongside her husband, Stanley, on the board of The Eye Center at Children’s Hospital in Newark. She volunteered with tutoring students through The Achieve Foundation in Maplewood-South Orange.
She was a board member of the South Orange Public Library, and was a member of Temple B’nai Abraham and Green Brook Country Club.
Predeceased by her husband in 1992, she is survived by two sons, Richard (Melanie) and Gary; her daughter, Cindy (partner Lisa); a brother, Michael Newmark; a sister, Carol Jacobs; and two grandsons.
Services were held April 15 with arrangements by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston. Memorial contributions may be made to Daughters of Israel, West Orange.
