Diane Aerts

Diane Margules Aerts of Hazlet died Sept. 11, 2012. Born in the Bronx, she resided in Queens before moving to Hazlet 47 years ago.

Prior to retiring in 1992, Mrs. Aerts was an elementary school teacher for 40 years, most recently working for the Hazlet Board of Education. She was a member of the National Education Association.

She was a member of Temple Shalom, Aberdeen, and belonged to the Federation of Jewish Women.

Predeceased by her husband, Joseph, 21 years ago, she is survived by two sons, Richard of Monroe Township and Jules of Colts Neck; her daughter, Gerardine Hern of Hazlet; and six grandchildren.

Services were held Sept. 13 with arrangements by Mount Sinai Memorial Chapels, East Brunswick.
