DIAKOW-LONDON
Renee Laffer and Nicholas Diakow of Port Washington, NY, announce the engagement of their daughter, Ronli Phyllis, to Douglas Micah London, son of Barbara and Bruce London of West Orange.
Ms. Diakow earned her bachelor of science in physics and astronomy from Yale University, where the couple met. She will receive a doctor of philosophy from University of California, Berkeley, in May and plans to begin a post-doctoral program jointly with Columbia and New York universities in August.
Mr. London, a graduate of Solomon Schechter Day School, now Golda Och Academy, in West Orange, graduated cum laude from Yale University with a bachelor of arts in the history of science, history of medicine. After working in health planning research and consulting for six years, he is attending the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College, Hanover, NH, and plans to receive a master of business administration in May 2014.
