Deborah M. Zakarin (Nadelman), 45, of Fanwood died Feb. 15, 2014. Born in Brooklyn, she was raised in Staten Island and later resided in Hoboken, Iselin, and Edison.
Mrs. Zakarin worked as a pediatric speech pathologist for the Plainfield School District.
She attended State University of New York at Binghamton and received her master’s degree from Hunter College.
She was a member of the sisterhood of Congregation Beth Israel and was a Girl Scout leader in Fanwood.
She is survived by her husband, Bruce Zakarin; two daughters, Jenni and Alley; her parents, Edwin and Vivian Nadelman of Monroe Township; and her brother, Jeffrey Nadelman of Manalapan.
Services were held Feb. 16 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union.
