David Victor
David Victor, 90, of South Orange died Aug. 30, 2014. Born in the Bronx, he lived for a time in Newark before moving to South Orange nearly four decades ago.
For many years, Mr. Victor was employed in the jewelry industry as a director of manufacturing, after which he was a quality control engineer for JVS in East Orange.
A veteran of World War II, he had served in the 102nd Infantry of the U.S. Army in the European Theater.
Predeceased by his son, Martin, he is survived by his wife, Sharon (Guttman); three daughters, Beth Victor of New York City, Cathi Flanagan of Montclair, and Lisa Lert of South Orange; and two grandchildren.
Services were held Sept. 3 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union. Memorial contributions may be made to Furry Hearts Rescue in Maplewood.
