David Elliot Stein

David Elliot Stein, 61, of East Brunswick died Aug. 11, 2011. Born in Brooklyn, he resided there until moving to East Brunswick in 1977.

Mr. Stein was a medical technologist at the Meadowlands Hospital, Secaucus, and a consultant for Roche Labs before becoming a science teacher at Belleville Middle School.

He was a congregant of B’nai Shalom, East Brunswick. He was also a former vice president of the East Brunswick Soccer Club, a member of the American Society for Microbiology, and a member of the National Science Teachers Association.

He is survived by his wife of more than 39 years, Miriam; his son, Jordan of New York; his daughter, Jessica of Seattle, Wash.; and his brother, Jeffrey of Demarest.

Services were held Aug. 14 with arrangements by Mount Sinai Memorial Chapels, East Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Team Determination — Never Give Up.
