Danny Stiles, 87, of Short Hills died March 11, 2011. Born in Newark, he resided in Short Hills for the past 40 years.
Mr. Stiles was a radio personality for 64 years, and had been employed by New York radio stations WNYC, WPAT (WNSW), WEVD, and WNVJ.
He received a bachelor’s degree from New York University.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He was a member of the Masons and the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists.
Predeceased by his wife, Barbara Borinsky Stiles, he is survived by three sons, Leonard Russell of Hawaii, Howard Russell of Short Hills, and Gary Russell of New York City; a brother, Joseph Silberg of Toms River; and three grandchildren.
Services were held March 13 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union. Memorial contributions may be made to the Jewish National Fund for tree planting in Israel.
