Daniel Solondz, 86, of Portland, Ore., formerly of Newark, died Nov. 16, 2018.
Mr. Solondz joined his father and brother, Philip, in the family lumber business, I. Solondz & Sons. He then enjoyed a long career in the residential real estate development business.
He graduated from Weequahic High School in Newark and obtained a B.S. from Syracuse University and an M.B.A. from New York University.
He was a supporter of many philanthropic organizations.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Jacqueline; three sons, Michael (Katie) and Barry (Jennifer) of Somerset County and David (Kim) of Oregon; his daughter, Tami of Somerset County; and nine
