Daniel Hittner

Daniel Marc Hittner, 55, of Brooklyn died March 29, 2012. He grew up in West Orange.

Dr. Hittner taught at Felician College. He was also a singer and songwriter whose stage name was “Dancing Dolphin.”

He received his BA degree from Swarthmore College and PhD in chemistry from Polytechnic Institute of New York University.

Predeceased by his mother, Marian Clair Grosman, he is survived by his father, Marvin M. of West Orange; his sister and brother-in-law, Amy and Yvon Heller, and a nephew and niece, Charles and Olivia Heller, all of Nyon, Switzerland; his aunt, Natalie Coch of New York City; and his uncle, Alan Grosman of Short Hills.

Services were held March 30 with arrangements by Shomrei Hadas Chapels, Brooklyn. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Place, 1815 Avenue M, Brooklyn, NY 11230.
