Daniel Brazer, 92, of Hillside died Dec. 3, 2011. Born in Newark, he was a lifelong Hillside resident.
Mr. Brazer worked as a self-employed carpenter and builder. He also worked for Bowman Distribution of Union for 19 years. He retired in 1986.
He served in the U.S. Army Signal Corps during World War II as a lineman in Iceland and Europe. He also fought in the Battle of the Bulge and received a Bronze Star.
He was a member of the Jewish War Veterans Post 78, Hillside.
Predeceased by his wife, Shirley; he is survived by his son, Bruce of Edison; his daughter, Harriet Barksdale of Kendall Park; and three grandchildren.
Services were held Dec. 5 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union. Memorial contributions may be made to prostate cancer research or the American Heart Association.
