IN COMMEMORATION of its 100th anniversary, Temple Beth-El Mekor Chayim in Cranford has created a permanent Wall of Community to recognize the people and events that have guided the Conservative congregation in its century of “serving the religious, educational, and social needs” of the Jewish community.

The installation, depicting a menorah, was dedicated on June 11, during the temple’s 100th anniversary Cantors’ Concert, featuring the NJ Cantors Concert Ensemble and the TBEMC adult and youth choirs.

The display, on the exterior wall of the building’s entrance, features tiles engraved with personalized inscriptions that honor or memorialize loved ones, celebrate life events, and commemorate member contributions. Tiles can be purchased through the temple’s website, tbemc.org.
