Corinne Gunther
Corinne Dorf Gunther of Basking Ridge died Feb. 9, 2015. She was born in Baltimore in 1925.
Mrs. Gunther taught first grade and coached girls’ high school athletics at the Waldorf School in Garden City, NY. She was executive director of Visiting Health Services of Morris County; vice chair of the Human Services Advisory Council; chair of the NJ Home Care Committee for the White House Conference on Aging; board member of First Call for Help; past president of NORWESCAP, which oversees 54 action service programs; and past president of Morris County League of Women Voters and Zonta International, a worldwide service for women executives.
Predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Edward, in 2012, she is survived by her daughter, Stephanie (Abram) Shnay; a sister, Marjorie Jaffe; two grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
Private services were held with arrangements by J.L. Apter Memorial Chapels of Somerville.
