Charlotte Anker
Charlotte Anker (Litman), 83, of Monroe Township died Feb. 9, 2011. Born in Newark, she lived in Springfield for many years.
Mrs. Anker was the owner of Diet Control Centers and was a lecturer for Weight Watchers.
She attended Weequahic High School, Newark. In 1988, she graduated from Kean College, where she was a member of Lambda Alpha Sigma, the Liberal Arts and Sciences Honor Society.
She was very active with Deborah Hospital and Hadassah and was a lifetime member of Ruth Estrin Goldberg Memorial for Cancer Research.
Predeceased by her husband, Leon, she is survived by two daughters, Marla Anker of Atlanta and Sharyn Tornberg Gold of Edison; her son, Stuart of Warren; a sister, Sandra Rosenblum; four grandchildren; and two stepgrandchildren.
Services were held Feb. 11 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union. Memorial contributions may be made to Deborah Hospital or the Jewish National Fund.
