Ceil Leifer
Ceil Leifer (Schwartz), 99, of Manalapan died April 22, 2014, a few days before her centennial birthday. She was a lifelong resident of New Jersey, moving to Manalapan in 1982.
Mrs. Leifer retired from the administrative offices of Sea Land Service in Newark in 1982.
After retiring, she volunteered in many charitable organizations, including Sara Slifer Orthopedic Relief and Centra State Hospital Auxiliary.
Predeceased by her husband, Morris, and her children, Larry Leifer and Susan Barber, she is survived by her son-in-law, Barry Barber of Manalapan; her daughter-in-law, Sandria Leifer of West Orange; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services were held April 24 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union. Memorial contributions may be made to Pancreatic Cancer Network or the Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration.
