Cecile Fein
Cecile Fein (Katz), 95, of Boca Raton, Fla., and Verona died May 29, 2016. She was born in Brooklyn.
Mrs. Fein had a part-time job at James Caldwell High School, teaching sex education. Later she accepted a full-time position traveling among several elementary schools in Newark, where she taught corrective physical education and health and tested children for postural defects and spinal curvatures. After losing over 100 pounds through Weight Watchers, she and her husband bought a franchise in 1964 in New Jersey, which they ran before retiring and selling the company in 2002.
An early graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School, she graduated from New York University with a bachelor’s degree in teacher’s education. She also earned master’s degrees in teacher’s education and psychology.
Predeceased by her husband, Lester S., she is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Fein; and her son, Kenneth Fein.
Services were held June 2 with arrangements by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston.
