Cecile B. Cohen (Rothbloom) of Iselin died March 6, 2019. She was born in the Bronx and had lived in Union before moving to Iselin 60 years ago.
Mrs. Cohen worked as a lab technician for Irvington General Hospital for many years.
She was a member of Hadassah, the former Beth Shalom Synagogue in Iselin, the sisterhood at Temple Emanu-El in Edison, B’nai B’rith of Metuchen, and the 55-and-over club in Woodbridge. She was also a volunteer at JFK Hospital, Edison.
Predeceased by her husband, Saul, in 2003, she is survived by two sons, Jeffrey (Rose) and Edward (Corrinne); her daughter, Andrea Portilla; two brothers, Jerome Roth and Charles Kolber; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Services were held March 8 with arrangements by Goldstein Funeral Chapel, Inc., Edison.
