Carola Meller
Carola Sohmer Meller, 90, of Monroe Township died March 9, 2012 at the Elms at Cranbury. Born in Brooklyn, she resided in New Canaan, Conn.; New York City; and Tokyo before moving to Monroe 11 years ago.
Mrs. Meller was a congregant of the Rossmoor Jewish Congregation in Monroe. She served as past president of Ikebana International and was a member of the Ikenobo Society.
Predeceased by her husband, Irwin I., in 1999, she is survived by her daughter, Louise Meller of Marietta, Ga.; her son, John of Spotswood; a brother, Jack Sohmer of Chestnut Ridge, NY; a sister, Carol Press of Morristown; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
