Can you hear me?

Your editorial “Finding our Center” (Jan. 12) was reasonable and well-written. However, when you write “we hear you” and then continue to say that many readers’ comments complain about coverage of Jewish-Muslim activities, I can assure you that you do not hear me or, I am certain, the majority of your readers.

The hostility between religious, ethnic, or racial groups can be overcome only by members of these groups getting to know the other. As Jews, we all know where a lack of knowledge and understanding of people of different faiths can lead. During these disturbing times, it is imperative that NJJN and all of us continue to speak out in support of interfaith cooperation and in defense of basic human rights for all.
