Alan Baker fails to inform his readers that the U.S. State Department regards the West Bank as occupied territory and the Israeli Supreme Court has determined that the West Bank is legally under “belligerent occupation” (“‘Occupied territories’ a flawed, biased term,” April 17).
The EU is modeling its sanctions against the Crimean occupation on the EU’s sanctions against the Palestinian Occupied Territories.
Another way to look at the issue is to consider the obvious fact that Israel is occupying the West Bank by military force against the wishes of the Palestinian people.
