Broken promises
Since the signing of the Oslo Accord in 1993, direct negotiations between Israel and the Palestinian Authority were agreed upon as the way to reach a settlement. Now, however, sensing a better deal from the United Nations General Assembly, the Palestinians seem intent on violating their word and written agreements and going to the General Assembly.
The key question the UN should ask is this: If the Palestinians betrayed their word to Israel, how could the United Nations trust their words or signature at this time?
